Alternative & Specialist Education Programs

Different students. Different needs. Tailored programs that connect, engage and empower.

Practical programs that help students feel capable, connected and ready to grow.

Specialist school wellbeing programs
Not every student connects with traditional learning. We find different ways to reach them.

At Healthy Teens, we understand that meaningful engagement doesn’t always begin in the classroom. Sometimes it starts with movement, a conversation, a challenge or simply someone taking the time to understand.

Through tailored mentoring, movement and wellbeing programs, we partner with alternative education settings, flexible learning programs and specialist schools to build student confidence, connection and practical life skills.

We work alongside teachers, wellbeing teams and existing student supports, complementing each school’s educational approach rather than replacing it.

We don’t expect students to fit our programs. We adapt our programs to fit the students.

Real Schools. Real Experiences. Meaningful Outcomes.

Juniper College | From Hesitation to Participation

Our focus includes engagement, resilience, emotional awareness, positive decision making, respectful relationships and personal responsibility.

Specialist Schools & Neurodivergent Learners

Programs can be adapted for students with diverse learning profiles, communication preferences, sensory considerations and physical abilities.

Healthyteens NDIS Fitness and Wellbeing Support

Flexible Delivery. Meaningful Progress.

Programs can be delivered as introductory incursions, targeted small group sessions, structured term programs or ongoing school partnerships.

Before commencing, we work with your teaching and wellbeing teams to understand student needs, existing support strategies, suitable adjustments and program goals.

Depending on the program, delivery may include personalised student workbooks, individual goal setting, progress tracking and end of program feedback.

Thoughtful preparation. Flexible delivery. Genuine connection.

Can Healthy Teens work with students who have disengaged from mainstream education?

Yes. Our mentoring, movement and wellbeing programs can be tailored for alternative education and flexible learning settings. We work with schools to understand students’ experiences, interests, engagement needs and existing support strategies before recommending a suitable program.

Do you work with autistic students, students with ADHD and other neurodivergent learners?

Yes. Healthy Teens has experience delivering programs for neurodivergent students, including at Rivercrest Christian College. We recognise that every student has individual strengths, preferences and support needs, and adapt activities, communication and delivery in consultation with school staff.

Can your programs support students experiencing behavioural or emotional regulation challenges?

Yes. Our programs provide opportunities to practise emotional awareness, self regulation, communication, respectful relationships and positive decision making through structured activities and mentoring. We collaborate with schools to understand existing behaviour support plans, supervision requirements and appropriate adjustments before commencing.

What makes Healthy Teens different from traditional school wellbeing programs?

Our approach combines physical activity, mentoring and practical learning rather than relying solely on classroom presentations. We prioritise genuine connections, achievable challenges and individual progress, creating opportunities for students to develop skills through experience, reflection and positive encouragement.

Can activities be adapted for students with different physical abilities or sensory needs?

Yes. Depending on individual requirements, we can modify activities, adjust physical intensity, provide clear demonstrations, incorporate breaks and offer alternative participation options. We work with school staff to establish suitable adjustments, support arrangements and safety considerations.

Do you offer small group and individual mentoring programs?

Yes. Healthy Teens offers targeted small-group programs and can discuss individual mentoring arrangements. Group sizes and delivery structures are determined according to student needs, program objectives, available staffing and school requirements.

Can we book a full term program rather than a single incursion?

Absolutely. Schools can choose introductory workshops, targeted programs across several weeks, full term delivery or ongoing partnerships. Longer programs provide opportunities to establish relationships, reinforce skills and monitor student progress.

Do you provide student workbooks and progress reports?

Yes, these can be incorporated into suitable programs. Depending on the agreed scope, Healthy Teens can provide personalised student workbooks, goal setting activities, student reflections and end of program evaluation reports. Our Juniper College program demonstrated how these resources can support meaningful learning and progress tracking.

How do you ensure programs are safe and appropriate for our students?

Before delivery, we consult with school staff regarding student needs, relevant health and safety information, supervision, behaviour support arrangements and reasonable adjustments. Activities are planned around agreed safeguarding requirements, with appropriate participation options and communication procedures.

How much do your programs cost?

Pricing depends on student numbers, session duration, location, staffing requirements and the level of program customisation. Following an initial discussion, we provide a tailored proposal outlining the recommended delivery approach and investment.
